As soon as the trail network between Andermatt and Realp is fully prepared, the starting signal will be given for the second cross-country skiing challenge.
Who knows the cross-country skiing regions of Goms and Ursern Valley like the back of their hand or is just getting to know them? The MGBahn cross-country challenge is entering its second round!
As the ideal transport partner for every cross-country skiing excursion, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (hereinafter MGB) is offering two great challenges in collaboration with the local tourism organisations:
Do the Gommer Classic from Oberwald to Niederwald along the Rottenloipe track and don’t let yourself be overtaken by a Matterhorn Gotthard train. We allow you one connection as a head start. A train takes 30 minutes from Oberwald to Niederwald and so you have 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive in Niederwald and beat the train.
Do the Urserental classic from Andermatt to Realp alongside the river Reuss and don’t let yourself be overtaken by a Matterhorn Gotthard train. We allow you one connection as a head start. The train takes 13 minutes from Andermatt to Realp and so you have 1 hour and 13 minutes to arrive in Realp and beat the train.
Participants complete the trail from Oberwald to Niederwald and/or the trail from Andermatt to Realp and record their activity with their fitness app or watch. The closing date for entries is the last day on which the Andermatt and Goms cross-country ski trail networks are open.
Each participant will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of the following attractive prizes:
