The lake nestles idyllically into the alpine landscape and is easily accessed at the same time: By car on the pass road, by bike, on foot or with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to Oberalp Pass.
Fishing
Fishing permit: Fishing enthusiasts need their own fishing permit for Lake Oberalp, which can be obtained and paid for directly at the fishing lodge by the lake. The licence entitles you to fish up to six trout from the lake. The Uri fishing licence is not valid here. If you need fishing equipment, this is also available at the fishing hut. The fishing season at Oberalpsee is expected to last from mid-June to the end of September. Fishing is permitted between 8 am and 8 pm.
