The central location makes the journey to the Andermatt vacation region short and pleasant for guests from the north, south, east and west. It takes just one and a half to two hours to reach the Andermatt vacation region from Zurich and Lugano. Those arriving by car can leave the highway at Göschenen and reach Andermatt from there in ten minutes. Rail travelers take the hourly Gotthard express train to Göschenen and change there to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. The narrow-gauge railroad has regular connections to the SBB timetable and takes guests to Andermatt in ten minutes.
