The first point on a visitor's tour is the picture projector, a 1,5to heavy artwork that tells the story of ancient sagas and legends of the Gotthard.
Further along one reaches the exhibition depicting the Gotthard Mythos and the marvellous chamber where treasured mountain crystals are on display. These heavy and gigantic crystals are in their own impressive cavern. Starting on the 4th July 2022 the first ever nation wide permanent exhibition «Goethe at the Gotthard - Highlights of his Swiss Journeys» can be viewed.
Using the Metro del Sasso visitors travel to the historical fortress where the sense of history is ever present. It is here that visitors venture into the once secret world of this defensive structure: concealed ammunition magazines, troop accommodation and artillery positions ready to defend the Gotthard. A side tunnel leads to a spectacular observation platform.
New: In Switzerland's first ever the «Quiet Gallery», the giant crystals can be enjoyed in complete relaxation from a deck chair. A unique experience deep inside the Gotthard.
