The Rhone has its source at the foot of the glacier of the same name, close to the Furka Pass. The Rhone glacier can be reached from the Furka Pass in minimal time.

Vier-Quellen-Weg
The fifth stage of the Vier-Quellen-Weg leads from Obergesteln via Oberwald, Gletsch and Muttbach up to the Furka Pass. From this high point, the way continues to a viewpoint above the Rhone glacier. The Rhone source can be seen at a dignified distance.
